The 7th Annual National Prize "Armenia" Music Awards had been held in The State Central Concert Hall "Russia" on the 7th of April. The armenian, foreign and russian artists had become guests and nominees this year as before: Dorians, Inga and Anush, Meri Voskanian, Sona Shahgeldyan, Andre, Ara Martirosyan, Kapo, A-Studio, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Lev Leshchenko, Heaven, Shantel, Aleksandra Pakhmutova, Mark Tishman, Dima Koldun, Dmitriy Dibrov, Alexey Chumakov, and, of course, the main guest of the ceremony - outstanding actor Alain Delon, who was given an award in nomination "Legend".

They were responsible for eleven hit songs, beginning with "Come Softly to Me". The song was originally called "Come Softly", as written and arranged by founding lead singer Gretchen Christopher and the group was originally named Two Girls and a Guy, but both were changed en route to the song's becoming a chart-topper. Gary Troxel (born November 28, 1939, Centralia, Washington) and Gretchen Christopher (born February 29, 1940, Olympia, Washington) were two Olympia High School students, and Barbara Ellis (born February 20, 1940, Olympia, Washington). 1959 "Come Softly to Me" (Gold Record) #1 Pop #5 R&B 1959 "Mr. Blue" (Gold Record) #1 Pop #3 R&B 1961 "Tragedy" #10 Pop "Come Softly to Me" is a popular song written by Gretchen Christopher that was published in 1959 and was performed by The Fleetwoods, who comprised Christopher, Gary Troxel, and B! arbara Ellis.
